Copyright and Infringement Policy

A. Right and License

DocLegal.AI is an online documents sharing platform offered by the Company. You can share documents and templates which you affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish (“Member Content”); and you license to DocLegal.AI all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, other proprietary or personal rights in and to such Member Content for publication on the Service pursuant to the DocLegal.AI Terms and Conditions.

For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Member Content. However, by submitting Member Content to DocLegal.AI, you hereby grant DocLegal.AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, amend, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, publish, adapt, make available online or electronically transmit, and perform the Member Content in connection with the Service and DocLegal.AI's (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each Member of the Service a non-exclusive license to access your Member Content through the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display, publish, make available online or electronically transmit, and perform such Member Content as permitted through the functionality of the Service and under these Terms and Conditions. The above licenses granted by you in Member Content you submit to the Service cannot be terminated or deleted (save for any personal information submitted, which will be subject to local privacy law). You understand and agree, however, that DocLegal.AI may continue to distribute, or perform, server copies of your Member Content relating to templates and documents. The above licenses granted by you in user comments you submit are perpetual and irrevocable.

The Company may process any Member Content uploaded by you and modify it accordingly. The Company is the sole owner of the derivative works created by the Company from your Content and is therefore entitled to grant licenses on these derivative works. If you use our cloud storage, you grant us a license to store your information as part of the Service. The Company may place limits on the amount of storage you may use.

The Company has no obligation to pre-screen any content. Without limiting the foregoing, The Company reserves the right in its sole discretion to pre-screen, refuse, or remove any content. The Company shall have the right to remove any content that violates this Agreement or is otherwise objectionable.

You further agree that Member Content you submit to the Service will not contain third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third-party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or you are otherwise legally entitled to post the material and to grant DocLegal.AI all of the license rights granted herein. You further agree that you will not submit to the Service any Member Content or other material that is contrary to applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

B. Copyright Infringement

DocLegal.AI respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we ask that everyone using our internet sites and services do the same. Anyone who believes that their work has been reproduced in one of our internet sites or services in a way that constitutes copyright infringement may notify DocLegal.AI through our “Member Feedback” page.

DocLegal.AI will only remove content based on a complete copyright infringement notice (the “Notice”). Your complete Notice must include all of the following information:

  • A detailed description of the copyrighted content that you believe is being infringed;
  • The URL where the allegedly infringing content is located and a description of the content;
  • Your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address;
  • Evidence of why you believe that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner or its agent;
  • The following statement: “I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material I am complaining of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law”;
  • The following statement: “The information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright or of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed”; and
  • The electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Upon review of a complete Notice, DocLegal.AI will investigate before removing the allegedly infringing content. DocLegal.AI will further make a good-faith attempt to contact the user who stored or transmitted the allegedly infringing content to provide such user with the opportunity for a response before the removal of their content.
